We have seen quite a few different variations on this design of tap. Some with these 5 pointed star capstans and others with a more traditional 4 way cross-head.
But unless you have seen the bath that they are fitted to, you might be a tad concerned in the direction of the flow of the water. They actually mount to a 45 degree slanted deck and fire the water into the middle of the bath, mixing the hot and cold much more efficiently.
These particular models were in quite a sorry state when they arrived and had already lost both of the original indices. As you can see we spun up some bespoke items from a billet of brass on the lathe, then engraved and plated them to match the rest of the restored tap.
If you have something that is not the “norm”, we’d love to see it.
