This great old bath mixer tap set was found face down in a reclamation yard in South West London.
It is stamped with the letters MWB, signifying the Metropolitan Water Board.
It has had the full treatment in our workshops, including new seatings, gland material replaced, new washers, WRAS approved lubricant and the usual high attention to detail at the rebuilding stage.
We were in two minds whether to replace the indices with newer items, but thought it best to be kept original and charactered.
BECAUSE THESE TAPS ARE UN-LACQUERED, THEY WILL NATURALLY TARNISH / DISCOLOUR / GO DARKER IN THE AIR. HOWEVER THEY CAN EASILY BEEN CLEANED AND BROUGHT BACK TO A SHINY STATE WITH SILVO WADDING, OR ANY OTHER BRASS CLEANING PRODUCTS.
