We acquired these impressive 9 inch long taps on a trip up to Stratford-upon-Avon, where they laid in the window of an old antique shop.
Having stripped them down, we found that a couple of parts were missing and wasted no time in spinning replacement parts up on the lathe from a bar of solid brass.
The taps have had a sympathetic polish to reveal a deep lustre, but not to mask the old foundry processes that made them, back in the early 1900’s. We’ve even made sure the stamping of the original tap builder has remained in place.
They have 1″BSP feeds to supply the water. But don’t worry, we’ll supply adaptors to take this down to the more common 22mm copper pipe sizes.
