A customer had experienced a problem with stopping a drip from a particularly special bath mixer tap.

In their efforts to cure the problem, they had broken off a piece of the tap.
They wanted it fixed, but in a visible style to show the character of the piece.

Of course we could have made the repair invisible, with some clever silver-solder work, some polishing and a new layer of chrome plating…

But the customer’s wishes come before our desire to make things perfect.
Matching the brass materials and using old Whitworth threads, completed this fix to a level that the Listed Properties team would be proud of.
