Can you believe this pedestal basin was fitted in 1974?
It was removed in 1990, for a house remodelling exercise and re-installed to the extended bathroom.

It is a credit to the owners and the fact they use a good quality water filter for their mains water.

But despite their care and attention, the taps were starting to wear.
We had everything in pieces for the refurbishment and re-plated the fittings in a deep gold layer to last another 35 years.

We even made new indices to replace the plastic Shanks logos that were clouding over.

The rest of the fittings for the toilet, bidet and bath, were treated to the same loving restoration.
